The project documents the progress of the archaeological excavations in the context of the works for the construction of the MetroNapoli, Duomo Station and Municipal Station, under the scientific direction of the Superintendence for the Archaeological Heritage of Naples and Pompeii. The methods of terrestrial laser scanner survey and photogrammetric acquisition, from SAPR (UAV) or from the ground in various ways, are used for the generation of 3D models and digital orthophotos. These identify the phases of stratigraphic excavation and contextualize the temporal overlaps of anthropological finds. Started in 2012 and still active, the project takes into account the complex needs of an infrastructure site and the procedures for recovering important finds from many historical periods.
